A pioneer among Chinese musicians, guitarist Xuefei Yang was the first-ever guitarist in China to enter a music school (Beijing’s Central Conservatory of Music) and the first guitarist to give a recital in Beijing National Center of Performing Arts. Ms. Yang is also the first Chinese guitarist to launch an international professional career with solo recitals at Wigmore and Carnegie halls and performances with the Toledo and Hangzhou Symphonies. Her exclusive New York engagement this season at 92Y takes the audience on a musical journey spanning centuries with the US premiere of Chinese composer Chen Yi’s Shuo Changand her own arrangement of Britten’s Five Courtly Dancesalongside 20th century guitar masterworks by William Walton and Alberto Ginastera. An exclusive EMI Classics recording artist, Ms. Yang’s albums have been named “Editor’s Choice” byGramophone magazine and received a gold disc in Hong Kong.

Multiple Grammy Award-winner Sharon Isbin is one of the preeminent guitarists of our time. She has appeared as soloist with more than 160 orchestras and given sold-out performances in the world’s finest concert venues,including Carnegie and Avery Fisher halls, Boston’s Symphony Hall, Kennedy Center, Barbican and Wigmore halls, among others. Ms. Isbin is honored to have performed at the White House for President and Mrs. Obama. Her 2010 Grammy Award-winning Journey to the New World included legendary folk singer Joan Baez and violinist Mark O’Connor and remained on the top Billboard charts for 63 weeks.

Israeli superstar David Broza has been considered one of the most dynamic and vibrant performers in the world. His charismatic and energetic performances bring a fusion of the three different countries in which he was raised: Israel, Spain, and England. He has filled concert halls with his famous guitar playing that ranges from flamenco flavored rhythmic and percussion techniques to whirlwind finger picking to a signature rock and roll sound.
More than a singer/songwriter, Mr. Broza is also well known for his commitment and dedication to several humanitarian causes, predominantly the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Since 1977, he has worked to bring the message of peace to the masses by joining peace movements and singing what has become the anthem of the peace process, his hit song "Yihye Tov."
